MMA's Newest and Brightest Rising Star

After eight consecutive wins, seven by knockout and one by submission, Brazilian light-heavyweight Glover Teixeira is finally getting his due. Originally Prearing for an October match up with fellow Brazilian Pezão in FC5, Glover has signed to fight on November 23 against Ryan Jimmo in MFC, Canada's premier MMA organization.

Glover is widely considered Brazil's best light-heavyweight and holds victories over big names such as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Joaquim "Mamute"Fereira (the only fighter to ever defeat Junior Cigano). An Abu Dhabi veteran known for his potent combination of Abu Dhabi level Jiu Jitsu and heavy hands in stand-up, Glover is a versatile and dangerous opponent who has the potential to threaten anyone in the UFC's light heavyweight division. Glover is shown below in a recent victory over Thiago Tosato in Bitetti Combat 7. He was originally slated to fight Jeff Monson in the event but the American fighter backed out at the last-minute, something he had already done twice previously.
