What is Sambo - Part 1

With the recent defeat of Sambo's greatest MMA practicioner we have decide to write s eries on what Sambo s in terms of rules, history, technique and more. Before we even get into the strengths of the art we would like to place the rules ond descriptions od the various styles of Sambo/ sport, combat, and self-defense as used by the military in a series of articles we will run on all of the combat sports and their rules.        To sum up, Sambo is a hybrid of Judo, Wrestling and it's own unique self defense techniques. Russsian Sambo is known for it's ferocious throws and for it's devastating leg locks, as well as it's ruthless Russian efficiency. So without further ado - please enjoy the series.
